Introduction:
| This special session brings together researchers working at the forefront of nonlinear dynamics to explore recent advances in methods, models, and real-world applications. Nonlinear systems arise naturally across a wide range of disciplines—from physics and biomedicine to engineering and finance—and their analysis demands a blend of theoretical insight, computational tools, and data-driven techniques. The session will feature contributions on nonlinear time series analysis, showcasing techniques for uncovering hidden structures in complex data. Topics in dynamical systems will address both the qualitative and quantitative behavior of nonlinear models, examined from analytical and experimental perspectives. The session will also highlight recent developments in prediction techniques, including both classical approaches and modern methods based on machine learning. Special attention will be given to applications in population dynamics and epidemiology, where nonlinear models play a crucial role in understanding complex biological interactions, disease transmission, and intervention strategies. By fostering dialogue between theoretical development and practical implementation, this session aims to bridge disciplines and inspire new directions in the study of nonlinear phenomena.
