Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Do I need a visa to enter Greece?

   A: Please visit the TRAVEL/VISA webpage for visa information.

  • Q: I need an invitation letter to apply for a visa. Whom should I contact?

   A: Please register online first and log in to your account to submit your request. If you are presenting a talk, you must also submit your abstract online before we can issue an invitation letter, since the letter will include information about your approved abstract(s).

  • Q: I am an invited speaker for a special session. Should I submit my abstract to the organizer?

   A: No. All abstracts must be submitted online. Please first register at the conference registration webpage, then log in and proceed to the abstract submission section.

  • Q: To whom should I send a schedule request of my talk if I have a special circumstance?

   A: For a special session talk, please send your request to the organizer(s) of your session. For a contributed session talk, please email Dr. Yaw Chang at changy@uncw.edu with the subject line “Schedule Request.” Such requests must be received before April 15, 2023. Due to the size and complexity of the conference, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be accommodated.

  • Q: I am an invited speaker for a special session. Do I still need to pay the registration fee? What if I am a special session organizer?

   A: Yes. All participants, including invited speakers and special session organizers, are required to pay the registration fee.

  • Q: How do I pay the registration fee and other charges?

   A: Please register first at the conference registration webpage, then log in to your account and proceed to the payment section.

  • Q: Is financial support available for travel or local expenses?

   A: No. Unfortunately, financial support for travel or local expenses is not available.

  • Q: What equipment will be provided in each meeting room?

   A: Information and instructions about meeting room equipment will be available approximately four weeks before the conference.

  • Q: Can I give both a contributed talk and a special session talk? Can I participate in several special sessions?

   A: Yes, with restrictions. Each participant may present at most two talks in different sessions.

  • Q: Do I need to give a talk to attend the conference?

   A: No. The conference is open to anyone interested in attending. However, registration fees still apply.
