Introduction:
| This special session will address some of the most challenging recent problems concerning the mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of superfluids and related quantume systems (Bose-Einstein condensate and superfluid Helium). The objective of the session is to bring together applied and pure mathematicians, as well as computational scientists who have contributed to the development of relevant mathematical and computational models in this area.
The topics which will be discussed include mathematical models for complex quantum systems (dipolar, spinor BEC, quantum turbulence, etc.), numerical methods for the Gross-Pitaevskii and related equations, high-performance computing of realistic configurations corresponding to physical quantum systems.
