Introduction:
| The control of systems governed by Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) is a fundamental branch of mathematics that studies how to influence dynamical systems to ensure they behave in a desired manner. This influence is exerted through appropriate inputs — applied either on the boundary or within the domain — aiming to drive the system toward a target state (controllability), maintain its stability (stabilization), or minimize a prescribed cost functional (optimal control).
This special session will focus on recent advances in the analysis and control of both linear and nonlinear system of PDEs. We aim to highlight emerging trends and open problems, while fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration. By bringing together a diverse group of researchers—ranging from early-career scholars to established experts—we believe this convergence of experience and new perspectives will encourage meaningful interactions and contribute to the continued development of this field.
