 Introduction:
This session aims to address the recent results on parabolic problems related to partial differential equations appearing in the mathematical models of diffusion processes where traditional assumptions about growth conditions do not hold, leading to more complicate nonlinear behaviors. Such problems arise in various scientific and engineering fields, including materials science, biology, and fluid dynamics. The discussions will focus on the recent advancements in this area and on the analytical techniques for tackling these issues, highlighting the implications of non-standard growth on stability, long-term behavior, existence and regularity of solutions. Recent results for such problems in the stationary context will be also considered. The final aim is to provide a platform to exchange ideas, foster collaborations, and enhance understanding of the new advancements on diffusion phenomena in non-standard contexts, in view of future directions and new developments in this field.
