Introduction:
| This session explores some of the latest advancements in the theory of optimal control and its diverse applications across engineering, robotics, life sciences, medicine and economics. Optimal control theory is a powerful mathematical framework used to determine control policies that optimize a desired performance criterion for dynamical systems—whether finite or infinite dimensional, deterministic or stochastic. This session seeks to present innovative contributions that advance the understanding and application of optimal control theory, particularly for nonlinear systems.
