Introduction:
| | Mathematics provides the foundation for both cryptography and coding theory, two disciplines essential to secure and reliable communication in the digital age. This session, Mathematics in Cryptography and Codes, aims to showcase research that advances or exploits deep mathematical ideas in these areas. We seek contributions that reveal novel connections between abstract mathematical structures and problems in cryptographic design or code construction, as well as works where challenges from these fields stimulate new mathematical inquiry. By bringing together researchers who work at this intersection, the session hopes to highlight the enduring role of rigorous mathematics in addressing fundamental questions of security, privacy, and error resilience—and to foster dialogue that bridges theory and application.
