 Introduction:
The Keller-Segel system and its relatives (both signal-production and signal-consumption variants) play an important role in different contexts in mathematical biology. At the same time, they offer challenging analytical questions, mainly due to lying on the border between global existence and blow-up of solutions, and over the last years have continued to bring forth an extensive mathematical literature. This session intends to showcase recent developments and advancements in the analysis of classical chemotaxis models, regarding occurrence or absence of singularity formation and further solution properties as well as studies of increasingly complex chemotaxis systems. It is expected to bring together researchers interested in various aspects of these systems and to stimulate discussion, facilitate the emergence of new ideas, and inspire new research.
