Introduction:
| This session focuses on mathematical, numerical, and modelling challenges that arise in mixture theory, particularly in connection with systems of partial differential equations that describe such phenomena. The talks will cover all relevant aspects, from the development of physically and mathematically adequate models, through the analysis of the associated equations, to their numerical simulation. Various approaches to handling mixture systems will be presented, including those that incorporate stochastic processes. The emphasis is placed on the interaction between modelling, analysis, and computation to advance the understanding of the behaviour of complex mixtures.
