A special session on ``Optimal Control and its applications'' will bring together a selected group of experts in this area.
The growing importance of optimal control has been realized in recent years. This is due not only to theoretical developments in this area, but also because of numerous plications to engineering, economics and life sciences.
Approximately 25 participants from Australia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Russian and USA will participate in the session.
The topics which will be discussed include infinite horizon control problems, turnpike phenomenon, averaging in optimal control, optimality conditions in control problems, qualitative and quantitative aspects of optimal control, control and stabilization of PDEs. |
