Guidelines for Special Sessions

Having a large number of well-organized special sessions in diversified areas has been the characteristic of the AIMS conferences, which has become the most participated international conference in the field. Therefore, it is a recognition to organize a special session and be a speaker in it. The following information is intended for session organizers and their invited speakers. Considering the various services the Conference will provide each participant and the resulting costs, all session organizers and the speakers are supposed to register and pay the registration fees. Therefore, session organizers may wish to clarify this policy when inviting speakers. Proposals for special sessions are invited.

Here are some details of the guidelines

 • All session organizers and speakers are expected to register and pay the registration fees (to cover the various costs including rental of rooms/space and equipments, scheduling and program preparation, the program printing, coffee and refreshment, social programs, service payments to various agencies involved, etc.). The Conference does not have a budget to support session speakers and organizers;

 • Each registered participant may not present more than 2 talks in the Conference. Thus, it is important that session organizers mention this policy in their invitation to speakers;

 • Each special session may have a minimum of 12 speakers, up to 30. Exceptions may be made. Each speaker will be given 30 minutes;

 • Proposed special sessions sharing many common topics could be combined into one session;

 • Considering the magnitude of the Conference and the large number of special sessions, each special session should allow some flexibility in the scheduling of its talks in the duration of the Conference;
