To organize a special session, follow the guidelines to submit your proposal
What makes the AIMS conference unique and outstanding is the abundance of well-organized special sessions in all the major areas in the fields, organized by leading researchers. While each special session works like a workshop in its own right, the AIMS Conference works like a congress attracting thousands of international mathematicians and scientists. In fact, many research groups will showcase their research development in the AIMS conference by inviting international colleagues and collaborators to speak in their sessions.
- 1. Proposals are welcome. A proposal should contain the names of all the organizers (no more than 3), their affiliations and email accounts, the title and abstract of the proposed session. It helps to list some potential speakers in the session. Once approved by the Committee, the organizers should promptly invite the speakers.
- 2. Each session should have a minimum of 12 final speakers, in order to ensure a good size of its audience. If this minimum number is not secured in the end, the session will be closed or merged to a session with related topics.
- 3. Each speaker will be given 30 minutes for presentation/questions. Each conference participant can speak in no more than two sessions.
- 4. All speakers and the organizers are required to pay for the registration fees. The conference is self-supported by the registration fees, which will be used exclusively for the conference to cover the program, lunches, coffee and refreshment, equipment rentals, transportation and student helpers, etc.
- 5. No talks will be scheduled in the program if the registration fee is unpaid before the deadline.
- 6. As a token of appreciation, all session organizers will be invited, free of charge, to the conference banquet gala.
