Abstract:
The talk describes a mathematical method for solving the Calderon problem, i.e., determining the interior of a material from boundary data consisting of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann (DtN) map in electrical resistance tomography (elliptic PDE). After introducing the DtN operator, we investigate its properties, including superlinearity and monotonicity. These properties are then used to create a fast imaging method formulated as a proper constrained optimisation problem.
