Abstract:
Building on the reduction method of Sannikov and of Cvitanic-Possamai-NT, we show that, for a broad class of problems, the Principal`s problem can be further characterized through the solution of a forward-backward SDE. This approach makes it possible to treat the case of a Principal facing an optimally regime-switching Agent, which had remained open in the previous literature.
