Abstract:
In this talk, we demonstrate how to derive temporal decay rates for weak solutions to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. We establish these rates by employing the Fourier splitting method with initial data in spaces of negative regularity. We also discuss applications of our approach to the surface quasi-geostrophic (SQG) equations and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD).
