Abstract:
I intend to present some recent results on two nonlinear evolution phase field systems: the multi-component Cahn-Hilliard equation and the multi-component conserved Allen-Cahn equation. In the case of constant mobility matrix and singular potential, besides well-posedness and regularity, I will discuss the existence of global and exponential attractors as well as the convergence of any finite energy solution to a single stationary state. The validity of the strict separation property from pure phases will also be examined in both cases. All the results have been obtained in collaboration with C.G. Gal, A. Poiatti, J.L. Shomberg (Cahn-Hilliard equation) and A. Poiatti (conserved Allen-Cahn equation).
