This paper is concerned with exact control for a system of 2 one-dimensional wave equations coupled via potentials when a mass is attached to one string.
For each string, we assume one end is fixed and a Dirichlet control is applied on the other end. An exact controllability result is
proven using spectral methods; the proof uses vector-valued divided differences. The reachable set is then characterized using
dynamical arguments that originated in the study of inverse problems. This is a work in progress, and is joint with Sergei Avdonin. |
