In this talk we analyze the evolution of two compting species in a periodic spatially heterogeneous habitat in the presence of refuges for each of the species in isolation. Our main interest is ascertaining the limiting profiles of each of the populations as the intensity of the mutual agressions grow up to infinity. Contrarily to what happens in the temporally homogeneous model, the dynamics relies on the geometry of the refuge areas of each of the species in a crucial way to be discussed in this talk in full detail. |
