          | In view of the current mathematical interest in dynamical systems on graphs, malware and fake news infections of cyber-physical and cyber-social networks provide a new direction of applied dynamical systems. In this talk we describe commonalities and differences in modeling biological systems on the one hand and cyber-physical/ -social systems on the other hand. This includes, besides others, the properties of real networks, and the intrusion strategies of cyber-attackers. We focus on the mathematical analysis of the dynamics of a malware infection model founded on a real cyber infection pathway and discuss the relevant regimes of its parameter space. |
