We study the well-posedness of a non-linear system of stochastic differential equations coupled with a linear parabolic equation. The setting describes the escape evacuation dynamics of mixed active and passive pedestrian populations moving through a domain with obstacles and smoke. We use compactness arguments together with a guarantee that the smoke concentration is smooth enough to handle the nonlinearities and the coupling in the model equations. The main feature of our evolution system is that the dynamics of smoke and the dynamics of the pedestrians is coupled in two ways.
