| Rationals in [0,1] can be filtered in two natural ways: by sum of digits (Stern-Brocot) or by size of denominators (Farey sequences), each one leading to measure-preserving transformations with very different ergodic behavior. This talk will discuss Minkowski question mark functions associated with even and odd continued fractions, Gauss type maps for even, odd and \alpha-odd continued fraction expansions, and the so-called BCZ map. |
