In this work, we have discussed the generalized Stokes model of a non-Newtonian fluid. We have considered the incompressible time-dependent flow of a non-Newtonian third grade fluid over a moving porous boundary. The fluid flows into the porous region in a half space geometry. We study the disturbance in the flow, which is caused due to impulsive motion of the boundary. All possible Lie point symmetries associated with the model equation are calculated. The symmetry algebra is further utilized to find the group invariant solutions of the governing model. Furthermore, we have discussed the non-classical symmetry algebra, associated with the model equation, to classify all possible closed-form solutions of the model, Finally, we have discussed the influence of the emerging parameters on the structure of velocity profiles. |
