| Asymptotic theory and method, which is also called Multi-scale asymptotic expansion method, can always be used to study singularly perturbed problems by constructing asymptotic solutions, estimating remainder and proving the existence. It will be introduced with Contrast Structures, which is a development of Asymptotic theory, and these methods will be shown to be applied in some classes of given problems, such as piecewise-continuous problems and fractional order singularly perturbed problems. |
