The dynamic van der Waals theory has been presented as a diffuse-interface model to describe one-component fluids with liquid-vapor coexistence and transition. In this theory, mass transport, momentum transport, and heat transport processes are coupled in the presence of latent-heat release/absorption. In this talk I will present our recent works on the modeling and simulation of drops, bubbles and moving contact lines using the dynamic van der Waals theory. |
