| A direct connection will be made between the new Caputo-Fabrizio definition of fractional derivatives without singular kernel (2015, 2017) and proportional derivatives (2015), which are motivated by proportional-derivative controllers in control theory. The definition and properties of proportional derivatives will be explored, particularly the kind of calculus that they generate. |
