Semiclassical limit of the Davey-Stewartson II equation

Abstract:
We present a numerical study of solutions of the Davey-Stewartson (DS) II equation in the semiclassical limit. We study the appearance of dispersive shock waves, zones of rapid modulated oscillations. The inverse scattering approach to DS equations in this limit is addressed. We discuss the appearence of blow-up in the solutions. A comparison with non-integrable DS equations is presented.
