Numerical study of dispersive regularisations of Burgers` equation

Abstract:
We present a numerical study of various issues arising in dispersive regularizations of Burgers` equations, soliton stability, dispersive shock waves and blow-up. These questions are considered for generalised Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) and Kadomtsev-Petviashivili equations as well as for equations with nonlocal dispersion as fractional KdV and Whitham equation.
