On the level-set approach for front propagations in oscillatory environment

Abstract:
We review some results on the modeling and analysis of front propagation problems in oscillatory environment, that is the propagation rules depending on the space and/or time variables in an oscillatory manner. Such problems amount to analysis of Hamilton-Jacobi equations with oscillatory coefficients and with Hamiltonian that has linear growth with respect to the momenta.
