| An extension of the equation of long waves was proposed by Boris Kupershmidt. We will construct a Lax representation for this system and show that it is related to a system associated with the energy-dependent Schrodinger problem of Antonowicz and Fordy. Possible modifications and dual systems are also worked out. |
