Abstract:
Semitoric integrable systems are a special class of 4 dimensional integrable systems for which one of the integrals generates a periodic flow. In this talk we discuss recent efforts to construct new examples of these systems and understand their properties. In particular, we focus on semitoric systems which can be obtained via deformations that produce focus-focus singular points.
