Forced convective heat transfer through annulus with triangular fins filled with porous media

Abstract:
Simulation study of forced convection through annular region has been carried out subject to constant heat flux boundary conditions by using finite element method. Triangular fins of varying heights have been attached to the inner side of domain to enhance the heat transfer process. Effect of different geometrical parameters like fin height, number of fins, fin base angle and height of annulus on the fluid flow and heat transfer has been analysed.
