| We consider a problem concerning a generalization of
elastic curves in a two-dimensional sphere or
hyperbolic plane.
We consider a functional on the manifolds
which
includes $p$-powered curvature with $p>1$.
We give its first variation
formula,
and
we realize a solution of the first variation formula
as a stationary curve of the functional. |
