We consider the Cauchy problem of a nonlocal scalar conservation law with a diffusion type source term. Using the energy method together with Fourier analysis, we show a faster decay rate of the solution. Our studies includes, (as particular cases ) the convection diffusion equation, the hyperbolic elliptic system and many other examples. We show that by taking initial data in some weighted spaces, we where able to improve the decay rates of the solution. This method can be also extended to many other systems.
