In this talk, I would like to review our recent results on oscillatory
neural networks with spike timing-dependent plasticity.
In particular, we studied the effects of independent noise and coupling
on the stability of the synchronized as well as the desynchronized
states. We found that the mean synaptic coupling in such systems
increases dynamically in response to the increase of the noise
intensity, and there is an optimal noise level, where the amount of
synaptic coupling gets maximal. We discuss also the conditions, under
which the spike timing-dependent plasticity (STDP) can be reduced to
the phase-difference dependent plasticity. |
