We present a coupled model for healthy and cancer cell dynamics in Acute Myeloid Leukemia consisting of several stages of maturation (for both healthy and cancer cells). The cell dynamics are modelled by nonlinear partial differential equations which can be reduced with classical methods to nonlinear systems with distributed delays.
The interconnection phenomenon between the healthy and cancer cells is modeled through the re-introduction function which, in the cell cycle model, takes cells from the resting compartment into the proliferating compartment.
For a particular healthy equilibrium point, a stability analysis is performed. |
