P53/MDM2 oscillation is known to be an important regulation in cell response to DNA damage, and PDCD5 is recently found to interaction with the P53/MDM2 network. In this talk we introduce our recent work on a mathematical model of PDCD5 regulating P53/MDM2 oscillation. The dynamical patterns of the P53/MDM2 oscillation under various level of PDCD5 and DNA repairing during are studied based on the proposed model. Our results suggest that the effect of PDCD5 in regulating the p53 oscillation on cell fate decision is non-monotonous and can relate to other functions of PDCD5 in various cell processes.
