The talk will focus on a boundary control problem for a (third order in time) Partial Differential Equation, referred to as Moore-Gibson-Thompson equation, which is a linearization of an established model for nonlinear propagation of waves in a thermally relaxing viscous fluid. The non-standard semigroup setup which arises from `natural' choices of boundary controls---namely, the ones which are suggested by several applications---will be discussed.
(The talk is based on ongoing work with Irena Lasiecka (Memphis, USA)) |
