In this talk we will present new families of splitting methods designed for the
numerical integration of near-integrable Hamiltonian systems, with special
interest on the planetary N-body problems. We use a Newtonian model for the
motion of the planetary system, which can be written as $H_A + \varepsilon H_B$
with an appropriate set of coordinates. We will perform an extensive comparison
between different high-order symplectic splitting schemes, in order to
determine the best scheme for the particular case of the solar system. |
