In this talk we will describe the dynamics of the Augmented Hill 3 Body Problem
(AH3BP), used to model the behaviour of a spacecraft propelled by a solar sail
in the vicinity of an asteroids. The model includes the gravitational effect of
both the Sun and the asteroid, as well as the solar radiation pressure due to the
solar sail. Which depends on 3 parameters: the sail performance given by the
sail lightness number $\beta$, and the sail orientation given by two angles
$\alpha, \delta$.
The AH3BP is Hamiltonian system. We will use different numerical tools to
describe the bounded motion of the system. We will find equilibrium points,
periodic orbits and invariant tori. We will try to give a complete description
of the phase space properties and how this ones varies as we change the
parameters in the system. |
