In the present talk we show an inequality for absolutely continuous functions with a suitable summability property. As an application, we prove a multiplicity result for a non-local boundary value problem in a bounded domain of $R^N$ involving an exponential nonlinearity. The approach is variational and combines results from critical point theory.
