| In the talk, we will focus on the problem of the conservation of energy for the weak solutions to the compressible
primitive equations system with degenerate viscosity. This part of the talk is based on collaboration with M.A. Bellido and T. Tang.
Moreover, we will consider the Osanger conjecture for the incompressible primitive system in a bounded domain.
