  Abstract:

Global existence of strong solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations is one of the main open problems in analysis. Embedding the original Navier-Stokes equations into two parameter family of its fractional damped generalizations, we study how the parameters determine properties of solutions to the 3D Dirichlet problem. The roles of the strengthened viscosity and the damping term are analyzed.
