Abstract:
In this talk, I will report my recent work on a diffusive homogeneous Sporns-Seelig model arising from chemical reactions. For this system, the stability of the stationary internal layer-solutions when one of the diffusion rate is small is investigated. It is shown that when the bifurcation parameter becomes smaller than some critical value, the aforementioned stationary internal layer-solutions undergo instability and then trigger the emergence of the layer-oscillating solutions behaving as does breathing motion.
