Positive Solutions for a Class of Fractional Laplacian Problems

Abstract:
We consider a class of fractional Laplacian problems satisfying zero exterior Dirichlet condition. We discuss existence of positive solutions with respect to a bifurcation parameter, depending on the behavior of the nonlinear reaction term near the origin and at infinity. We use the method of sub- and supersolutions to establish existence results. We also discuss numerical bifurcation diagrams and profiles of positive solutions, corresponding to theoretical results, using a Finite Element Method.
