Abstract:
In this talk, we discuss the exact bifurcation diagram for a reaction-diffusion equation which arises when studying the effects of habitat fragmentation on a population which exhibits logistic growth. In particular, we discuss the modeling of the boundary condition and some interesting eigenvalue problems which arise from the study of the bifurcation diagram. If time permits, we will also discuss the importance of our results with respect to some additional problems arising in population dynamics.
