Well-posedness of the stationary compressible Navier-Stokes-Korteweg system

Abstract:
We consider the stationary problem of the compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes-Korteweg system in the momentum formulation. The problem that we consider is: Given small external forces, find a solution for the system near the equilibrium state. Our purpose in this talk is to demonstrate that no complicated schemes are necessary in order to prove the existence and uniqueness of steady states as far as small external forces are concerned, and that a simple application of Banach`s fixed point theorem suffices to complete the task.
