Abstract:
In this talk, we consider the dynamics of a 2-pulse solution arising in a bistable three-component reaction-diffusion system, for which two stable pulses are glued together and weakly bound in a finite region. First, we numerically investigate the PDE system to explore the dynamics of the 2-pulse solution, and then clarify their mechanism, especially the bifurcation structure behind them by means of seven-dimensional ODEs which describe the interface motions of the 2-pulse solution.
