Abstract:
I will describe a few recent results concerning the solution map of the Euler equations of hydrodynamics. I will focus on its properties in Lagrangian coordinates in which this map can be seen as a riemannian exponential map on a diffeomorphism group. Time permitting i will also discuss the regularity properties of the solution map in Eulerian coordinates.
