Abstract:
In this talk, I will present some recent results on the almost Poisson formulation of mechanical systems subjected to affine constraints in the velocities. In fact, we will see that, in the presence of a non-holonomic Noether symmetry and after reduction, one may prove that the dynamics is Hamiltonian with respect to a reduced almost Poisson bracket. We will apply the previous construction to some interesting examples.
