Lyapunov type inequalities for integral equations and applications

Abstract:
This presentation is based on recent work on Lyapunov type inequalities for integral equations and applications to ordinary differential equations, fractional differential equations and population dynamics. These Lyapunov type inequalities provide necessary conditions for these equations to have nonzero nonnegative solutions. Such inequalities can be applied to study extinction and optimal locations of favorable habitats for populations inhabiting heterogeneous environments.
